Sebastienne Grant is an Associate Professor of Research Psychology in the PhD Integral and Transpersonal Psychology program at California Institute of Integral Studies. She holds a PhD in Psychology: Consciousness and Society from the University of West Georgia. Her psychological orientation is grounded in an integration of Buddhist, transpersonal, critical, humanistic, and existential perspectives. Her work broadly focuses on the intersections of individual and societal wellbeing, social justice, prosociality, and self and subjectivity. Most recently she has been delving into the benefits of compassion and service practices in nurturing individual and societal wellbeing and has been dabbling in the transformative power of fiction.
