Maureen C. Silva joined Hawai`i Pacific University in 2023 as the Vice President of Advancement, where she leads fundraising and alumni relations initiatives. She has served as VP for Institutional Advancement at Bridgewater College, where she and her team set several fundraising records; VP for Advancement at St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM) & Executive Director of the SMCM Foundation; Associate Vice Chancellor & Campaign Director at the University of Denver; and Associate VP for Institutional Advancement at Colorado School of Mines. Silva holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education, Organization & Governance from the University of Denver; a Master of Nonprofit Management from Regis University; and a BS in Business Communications from Florida Institute of Technology. Having served her communities through mentorship and nonprofit board service throughout her career, Silva currently serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of O`ahu and on the Board of Trustees for the Starr King School for the Ministry. In 2017, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III named Silva the Mentor of the Year, and in 2025, Stebbins High School recognized her as an Outstanding Alumnus of the Year.
