What are the Sustainers?
The Starr King Sustainers are a group of loyal supporters who recognize that in order for Starr King to achieve its mission of educating Unitarian Universalist ministers and progressive religious leaders, it is necessary to build a reliable foundation of unrestricted funding. Each Starr King Sustainer has set up a monthly recurring gift to the Annual Fund.
A recurring gift is an ongoing, specific gift amount determined by you that is charged monthly to your credit or debit card with no specific end date. Your recurring gifts will be a dependable source of support that Starr King can count on throughout the year.
Monthly contributions from Sustainers are amplified by both time and partnership with others in the program. Even modest monthly amounts add up to significant annual contributions.
Benefits to Monthly Giving
- Convenience. When you join The Starr King Sustainers, your gift will appear each month on your credit (or debit) card. We will send you a calendar year-end tax receipt each January to help in your tax preparations, and you will not receive regular phone or direct mail solicitations.
- Reduced paperwork and administrative expenses. Automatic monthly payments mean more of your gift goes to where it is needed most.
- Flexibility. If for any reason you wish to increase, decrease, discontinue your gifts, or change the credit card being charged, just email the Advancement staff at give@sksm.edu and we will gladly accommodate you.
