Sowing Seeds Together: UUSF Event Recap

On Sunday, February 18, following a service led by president Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt, Starr King held a “Sowing Seeds Together” gathering at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco. At this event, Starr King grads, faculty, staff, and friends came together to learn more about the latest happenings at the school and to watch the debut of our new Sowing Seeds Campaign video.

Rosemary was introduced by Rochelle Fortier Nwadibia (Vice Chair, Starr King Board of Trustees) and Rev. John Buehrens rounded out our program. The event raised nearly $17,000 for Starr King! At the event, we did a drawing to give away three books by Starr King faculty. Margaret Whitaker-Greene, Starr King Class of 1978 (pictured below with Rosemary) won the drawing! She went home with Unafraid of the Dark by Rosemary Bray McNatt (signed), Soul Repair: Recovering from Moral Injury after War by Rita Nakashima Brock and Gabriella Lettini, and A House for Hope by John Buehrens and Rebecca Parker.

If you would like to have Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt come preach at your congregation and/or host a Sowing Seeds Campaign event, please contact Jessica Cloud at jcloud@sksm.edu.
