This hybrid examines the dynamic relationship between transgender theology and contemporary social movements, focusing on the intersection of gender identity, faith, and social justice. Students will explore how transgender theology—grounded in both the lived experiences of transgender individuals and theological reflection—can inform and empower movements for social, political, and cultural change. Recommended for both MDiv and MASC.
This 1.5 hybrid course will have both synchronous and asynchronous components.
Class meets: January12-16; synchronous meetings on the 13th and 15th, 4:30pm-6:30pm.
The method of evaluation is a reflection paper based on the reading and discussions.
