Taya Mâ Shere plays passionately in realms of transformative ritual, embodied vocalization and ancestral reverence. She is co-founder and Rav Kohenet of Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute and co-author of The Hebrew Priestess: Ancient and New Visions of Jewish Women’s Spiritual Leadership & Siddur HaKohanot: A Hebrew Priestess Prayerbook. Taya Mâ is Visiting Assistant Professor of the Practice of Organic Multireligious Ritual at Starr King School for the Ministry. With Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Baba Farajajé, she co-founded Makam Shekhina, a multireligious Jewish & Sufi Muslim spiritual community committed to counter-oppresive devotion . Taya Mâ teaches Ancestral Lineage Healing and is a practitioner of Somatic Experiencing. She offers online courses including Embodied Presence and Jewish Ancestral Healing through Kohenet Virtual Temple, an online school open to all.
