Embracing – Unprecedented Nature of It All
Some of us have arrived to 2021 scarred, weary, uncertain, full of unsettling emotions, and maybe grateful to be alive. Welcome to what many are calling an “UNPRECEDENTED” time. Here WE are. How do we hold the largeness, the grandness of what is within, among and beyond us?
“Glimpses, of THAT, which Holds All”, is a weekly opportunity to SLOW down, to catch glimpses of your divine being, and to catch “Glimpses of THAT which Holds ALL.”
“Glimpses” occurs each Tuesday except for the first Tuesday of every month when Starr King School for the Ministry (SKSM) hosts Tuesday Chapel from 10:50 to 11:45. Yes, these drop-in sessions will be via Zoom. Yes everyone… seminarians, alum, community members, family members and allies are warmly invited to drop in. Yes, you are welcome to drop in at any time during the 45 minutes that we are together.
Flow for February
In February, we will lean into my Buddhist nature and sit a spell, pause for a while and be with whatever arises. We will be supported by melodic chanting from Donna DeLory, Om Namah Shiviya (Thy Will Be Done) and a 7:36 minute mindful meditation by Mindful Movement.
11:00 Sound the Singing Bowl 2X (February = 2nd month of our year)
11:05 to 11:10 Voices of the Gathered/Candle Lighting (With unmuted mics, each person is invited to name their joys and sorrows and to light candles.)
11:10 to 11:40 Sharing Music/Sitting-Pausing/Reflections
11:40 to 11:45 Releasing
Looking forward to sitting/pausing/being with you. Please email Jacqueline Duhart at jduhart@sksm.edu if you have questions or concerns.
