Places Where the Veil is Thin
Jan L. Richardson writes in her text, In Wisdom’s Path, Discovering the Sacred in Every Season, “I have come to recognize that certain times of the year hold special power and intrigue for me. Like the lines of energy that some say run through the earth, concentrating at sacred sites, the spiraling seasons contain an energy that intensifies for me at particular times and in particular places.” Is there a place where the energy of the sacred, the divine is intense for you? Is there a holiday, a festival, a ritual that represents a time when your connection with the sacred, the divine is awe inspiring?
“Glimpses of THAT Which Holds ALL” is a weekly opportunity to SLOW down, to catch glimpses of your divine being, and to catch “Glimpses of THAT Which Holds ALL.”
“Glimpses” occurs each Tuesday except for the first Tuesday of every month when Starr King for the Ministry hosts Tuesday Chapel from 10:50 to 11:45. Yes, these drop-in sessions will be via Zoom. Yes everyone… seminarians, alum, community members, family members and allies are warmly invited to drop in. Yes, you are welcome to drop in at any time during the 45 minutes that we are together.
This month, through storytelling we will continue to be holy curious about the concept of place, and where and through what holidays, festivals, rituals is your connection to the sacred, the divine awe inspiring. Let us come together and share stories about where you feel the power of your connection with the great mystery of the universe. What holidays, festivals, rituals bring you into direct communication with the sacred, That Which Holds ALL.
PLEASE NOTE, we will not meet Tuesday, October 26.
