Certificate in Multi-Religious Studies

Are you interested in faiths other than your own? Do you consider yourself to be a social activist seeking a religious or theological grounding for your work?

We designed the Certificate in Multi-Religious Studies for you!

The Certificate in Multi-Religious Studies program, directed by Dr. Som Pourfarzaneh, brings together historical, theological, and social interactions of the world’s many religions.

Whether you’re considering the possibility of entering ministry or just interested in learning about religions within their own contexts, you can earn this graduate-level Certificate while deepening your education in spiritual and religious traditions.

Complete your Certificate through any combination of four courses (12 units) taken online and/or through short-term intensives taught by progressive religious leaders, scholars, and social activists. Expand your spiritual horizons with courses in counter-oppressive theologies and social theories, interreligious histories, pluralist ethnic and religious geographies, and multi-religious spiritual practices, ritual arts, and education.
