Biography

Reverend Keyona Saquile Lazenby founded Divine She Global, an interfaith women’s ministry that provides services and offerings to help women achieve self-actualization. She is passionate about working with women and girls impacted by incarceration, delivering pre-and post-release services. Rev. Keyona Saquile received her Master’s Degree in Social Transformation and Certificate of Women Studies in Religion from Pacific School of Religion/Graduate Theological Union. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Religion and Practice at the Graduate Theological Union. As Adjunct Faculty and Newhall Fellow, she has taught Women Studies in Religion, Comparative Religions, and Modern Literature with a Women Studies focus. Her expertise is in African Spiritualities, Carceral Anti-Ecology, Ecowomanism, and Womanist Theology and Ethics. She has guest lectured on these topics across the country. She serves on the Women’s Studies in Religion Steering Committee at the Graduate Theological Union. Reverend Keyona Saquile is an ordained Interfaith Minister and an initiated priestess in the African Spiritual Tradition, Ifá Isese. She holds the title of Director of Programs at a local food bank, working to address the food insecurities that impact marginalized communities. As an avid traveler, she believes cultural exploration is the world’s greatest teacher.
