Assistant to the Dean of Faculty and Coordinator of Academic Affairs
Shannon Eizenga serves as the Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty and the Coordinator of Academic Affairs. She holds a M.Div from Starr King School for the Ministry, a BA(Hons) in Acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art at The University of Kent in England as well as a spiritual direction credential at from The Interfaith Chaplaincy Institute for Arts & Ministries. In addition, Shannon has a rich and varied background of social service work, life in intentional, faith-based communities, project management and executive support, as well as many years of professional acting.
When not at Starr King, Shannon has a private spiritual direction practice. Her work is built on a bedrock of reverence, love and awe for this wild, beautiful and messy world. It is nourished by the belief that our individual liberation and wholeness is directly connected to the liberation and wholeness of others. Shannon is deeply committed to building multi-religious, counter-oppressive communities where all can thrive and flourish.
While Shannon misses her hometown of Toronto, Canada, she is delighted to now call Oakland home.
