Roger Jones has served larger and smaller congregations in the Midwest, New England, and Northern California as a ministerial intern, solo parish minister, interim minister, family and associate minister, and senior minister. Prior to ministry he served the State of Illinois as a budget analyst, capital financing specialist, grants manager, and social services coordinator. He was also an active lay leader at a fellowship with a half-time minster and the board chair at a midsized urban church. He has served on Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) district boards and committees, as a Beyond Categorical Thinking facilitator, as a panel member for the UU Fund for a Just Society, and as treasurer for the UU Ministers Association. Special interests include congregational histories and systems, stewardship and fundraising, volunteer recruitment and support, and community-building across the generations in a church.
