Jennifer Fernandez received a Master of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. She is currently completing her doctorate degree in Theology and Ethics at the Graduate Theological Union. A constructive theologian, her work sits at the intersection of modern liberal Christian theology and critical theory. Her current research explores relational and feminist theology in light of recent women’s movements. She is a Hispanic Theological Initiative Scholar and a two-time recipient of a Newhall Research and Teaching Fellowship. Prior to her doctoral work, Jennifer worked as a hospital chaplain in the San Francisco Bay Area.
