The Reverend Christine Fry is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister and SKSM (’96) graduate. A faculty member at SKSM since 2004, Chris has taught classes on “Illness, Health & Healing,” “Families & Spiritual Practice,” “Forgiveness and Moral Repair,” and “Spiritual Practices in These Times.” She became a member of the advising faculty in 2014. Chris’ ministry has also included serving as a Community Minister at the Women’s Wisdom Project in Sacramento, Minister of Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, and Executive Director of Grace in Action. Chris also developed a 20+ year ministry facilitating writing groups in homeless programs, jails, hospitals, recovery programs, congregations and in her own home. She lives in Davis, California with her husband, Isao Fujimoto, professor emeritus at U.C. Davis and a long-time community activist. Their daughter, Esumi, was born when Chris was a student at SKSM. She is now a Registered Nurse, activist, and is completing her Master’s Degree in Midwifery.
