The Rev. Dr. Maria Cristina Vlassidis Burgoa is originally from Chile and has lived in New York, Boston, and recently moved to Hayward, California. She is an ordained Unitarian Universalist Minister and serves the Starr King UU Church in Hayward as their settled Minister. She holds a Th.D. and an M. Div. degree from Harvard Divinity School, and a J.D. from C.U.N.Y Law School, with a specialty in Immigrants’ Rights. Her work focuses on the lived religious experience and ethnographic research within the borderlands of Feminist/Latinx/Queer/Two-Spirit/Indigenous Liberation Thealogies.
