From February 22-25, 1986, millions of Filipinos shocked the world by ousting the 20-year dictator Ferdinand Marcos after 3 days of bloodless uprising. Many years later, this inspired the fall of the Berlin Wall and many authoritarian governments of Eastern Europe in 1989, the ousting of dictators in Asia, including the famous Beijing revolution of 1989, and reverberated in the uprisings of the Arab Spring. Rev.
