“What does a living practice of mediation or contemplation look and feel like in four different faith traditions? And how can these practices support collective movements of social change…or do they remain practices of individual quests for inner peace or union with the divine?”
This daylong workshop will emphasize experiencing meditations from four faith traditions. The workshop will be led by four activist spiritual teachers and clergy: BK Rose (Ragi Yoga), Rabbi Diane Elliot (Judaism), Mushim (Buddhism), and Dr. Ibrahim Farajaje, Starr King School’s Provost and Professor of Cultural and Islamic Studies.
No prior experience is needed. This workshop is offered without a fee, but donations are welcome. There will be opportunities for respectful interfaith community building and Q&A.
Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit www.eastbaymeditation.org.
