Unitarian Universalists have an ambivalent relationship with the Christian tradition, to say the least. And many Christians have trouble understanding Unitarian Universalism. A new Skinner House book by Christian-identified UU minister and former Dean for Religious Life at Stanford University, Scotty McLennan, sets out to build bridges.
McLennan aims “to help Unitarian Universalists connect to Christ as part of a radical religious pluralism and to help Christians learn more broadly about their own faith from Unitarian Universalists [Introduction].” Rev. McLennan is coming to Starr King to talk about his book, and he will be joined in a panel discussion by Ron Sanders, Affiliate Faculty at Fuller Theological Seminary and Associate Regional Director of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), as well as Rev. Darcy Baxter, minister at the UU Fellowship of Stanislaus County and active reproductive justice advocate. Members of the audience will also be able to add their questions and insights, so please join us for a stimulating conversation, in person or via Adobe Connect.
