Starr King’s 6th Annual Symposium will be held on January 13th, 2018. At this year’s symposium, “Spiritual Communities without Walls” our honored teacher is the Rev. Meg Riley. This urban retreat is an annual gathering of our entire student body, faculty, staff and trustees for a day of learning, ritual, celebration, and community-building. SKSM students are required to register for at least two Symposia to complete their degree.
Please note the two-step process: (1) Enroll for the Symposium as a course through Web Advisor to ensure course credit and (2) complete a separate online registration form on the SKSM Symposium website for event needs (including reg. type, dietary & special needs).
In order to obtain credit, students must read all required readings before Symposium, register on site on the event day, actively participate in the program, and complete a reflection paper to be reviewed by the students’ advisor. In addition, students are asked to work volunteer hours before or during Symposium.
