Saying Farewell to Jamie Krovontka

Jamie KrovontkaDear Members of Our Beloved Starr King Community,

We are writing to announce that our beloved Jamie Krovontka is leaving Starr King to take up a new and exciting post:  Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer at The Nature Conservancy in Washington DC.  Her last day with us will be Tuesday, August 25.

Though this is an exciting opportunity for Jamie, it is a great loss for the Starr King community.  For five years, Jamie has been the organizational power behind the Office of the President and, even more broadly, the operations of the school itself.  There are very few things at the school that Jamie hasn’t worked on or organized, and everything from the stacks to our reading room to our emergency supplies to board meetings are places and events where you can see her attention to detail.  Her love for the school is everywhere in evidence, and we will all miss her terribly.

Of course we will have a more celebratory way of saying goodbye to Jamie at Starr King, including sharing with you more about Jamie’s journey at Starr King later this week. But we hope that all of you who have witnessed and benefited from Jamie’s work over the past five years won’t wait to thank her for her years of faithful service, and wish her well in her new adventure.

Thank you, Jamie, and we wish you farewell as you leave us to begin this exciting new chapter of your life!

Faithfully,

Starr King School for the Ministry
