Rev. Kathleen McTigue

Director of the UU College of Social Justice

Kathleen McTigue graduated from Starr King in 1987 and was ordained that spring by the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY, where she completed her internship. She served as an extension minister with the UU Fellowship of Winston-Salem, NC, for four years,  and then as Senior Minister to the Unitarian Society of New Haven for 21 years. Prior to and throughout these ministries, social justice has been a primary focus. Kathleen now serves as the first Director of the UU College of Social Justice, a collaboration between the UUA and UUSC that began in 2012.

Kathleen lives in Dorchester, MA, and is married to Nick Nyhart, a community organizer; they have three adult children.
