Take the Richmond line north or south and exit
at the Downtown Berkeley station. Walk one block
east toward the University of California campus. Turn
left on Oxford Avenue. Continue north to Hearst Avenue
and turn right. In about 1/4-mile, take a left onto
Le Conte Avenue, which angles up the hill. Starr King
School is located at 2441 Le Conte Ave., at the top
of the hill, on the left side of the street. See BART

UC Berkeley operates a perimeter bus service (Monday
through Friday) that makes stops around the campus and
at the Downtown Berkeley BART station. The fare for
non-UC Berkeley students and staff is 50 cents. See

Pedal power offers one of the best ways to commute in
Berkeley, a city noted for its limited parking. BART
(except for crowded trains or those highlighted in the
schedule—see www.bart.gov)
and nearly all AC Transit buses (excluding the 52 and
67 lines) provide a bike rack. Starr King offers a bike
rack for students who find this modeof transportation
an inexpensive, hassle-free solution.
Oakland International, about a 30-minute drive away
(depending on time of day), is the closest airport to
Starr King School. Transportation to and from the airport
is available via BART and AC Transit.
Passengers can travel directly to San Francisco International
Airport on BART. Driving time from Starr King School
is about 50 minutes (depending on time of day). See

In the city of Berkeley, parking spaces are limited
and avidly sought by thousands of commuters who work
at or attend Graduate Theological Union schools and
the nearby University of California, Berkeley.
Starr King School sits within a zone that offers some
metered parking for up to one hour, and unmetered street
parking for up to two hours within a one-mile radius.
Please note that Berkeley rigorously enforces its parking
limits.
A small visitor lot behind Starr King provides parking
spaces for up to nine vehicles with SKSM passes, including
one disabled slot. Another disabled space is located
on the street, directly in front of the school. A small
lot on the right side of the school is reserved for
faculty and staff parking.
