Rev. Kurt A. Kuhwald has served as minister in seven Unitarian
Universalist congregations and in two Community Ministry settings. He
has been engaged in anti-racism work for over twenty years. He is
deeply committed to the intersection where care for the world meets
inner liberation, which he finds impossible without engagement in and
with the collective human community and the living Earth.
Rev. Kuhwald trained as a psychotherapist in a trans-racial, mixed
identities program at the Carl Rogers Institute for Psychotherapy
Training and Supervison. He became a mediator through the San Diego
Mediation Center. Kurt also completed a two year training as a
Spiritual Director with the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Ocean Beach,
California.
At Starr King he is facilitating the Ministerial Internship program and teaching basic Pastoral Counseling and Preaching.
