SHELTER ROCK FELLOWSHIP GRANT FOR DEGREE PROGRAMS
DEADLINE JULY 1, 2012
>> THIS GRANT IS EXPIRED
Our recent receipt of a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock requires Starr King to dispense this cash gift as financial aid in the next academic year.
To ensure applicants have an opportunity to receive one of these limited number of awards, we have added one more deadline for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 admissions: July 1.
Fear not. This deadline is totally meetable. We know that our timely receipt of your timely requests for official transcripts and letters of recommendation are not within your control. We will make allowances for receiving these after the deadline, so long as we receive admissions and grant applications by July 1.
SHELTER ROCK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What is the grant? The Shelter Rock Fellowship Grant pays for 25% of your first year of tuition as an SKSM degree candidate.
Who is eligible? Students entering in the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.
Where can the scholarship be used? At Starr King School for the Ministry, any residency mode.
When must I submit my admissions and grant applications?
By July 1st, 2012.
Why are you doing this? We were awarded these funds after our last application deadline, May 1st. Our mandate is to dispense them to the incoming class. To ensure we are in compliance with this mandate and in celebration of receiving this grant, we immediately obtained official permission to add the July 1 deadline. Additionally, we are excited to provide this opportunity to discerning hearts, who, unfortunately, contacted us after the last deadline.
Isn’t a month too short a time frame to complete my application? No. We would not offer the July 1 deadline, if we were not confident that it can be met.
