SHELTER ROCK FELLOWSHIP GRANT FOR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
DEADLINE AUGUST 1, 2012
Our recent receipt of a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock requires Starr King to dispense this cash gift as financial aid in the next academic year.
To ensure enrollees have an opportunity to receive one of these limited number of awards, we have added one more deadline for students starting in Fall 2012 and Spring 2013: August 1.
Fear not. This deadline is totally meetable.
SHELTER ROCK QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What is the grant? The Shelter Rock Fellowship Grant pays for 1/2 of the tuition cost of a certificate.
Who is eligible? Students starting in the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.
Where can the scholarship be used? At Starr King School for the Ministry, any residency mode.
When must I submit my enrollment form and grant application?
By August 1, 2012.
Why are you doing this? We were awarded these funds at the end of the Spring 2012 semester. Our mandate is to dispense them to incoming students. To ensure we are in compliance with this mandate and in celebration of receiving this grant, we immediately obtained official permission to add the August 1 deadline. Additionally, we are excited to provide this opportunity to discerning hearts, for whom cost has made pursuing their theological call prohibitive.
Isn’t this deadline too short a time frame to complete my enrollment form? No. We would not offer the August 1 deadline, if we were not confident that it can be met.
